Illiterates of the field

The digital newspaper publishes an interesting article in which Gemma Ventura interviews the geographer Joan Nogué.

This explains how people have become denatured and detached from nature and become illiterate in the countryside. We do not know the name of plants, their uses, or the name of many natural spaces in our environment.

Nogué claims this environmental education so that people can reconnect with nature and the different landscapes. It also reminds us that this COVID-19 pandemic has shown us that we don’t control everything. It has been a warning and a lesson in humility.
